Rochester Recreation Club for the Deaf will host the Future Deaf Scientists Program BBQ Celebration, a free community event celebrating the achievements of Deaf students through science, education, and community engagement.

Description of event: The Future Deaf Scientists Program BBQ Celebration is an annual event that recognizes the accomplishments of students participating in the Future Deaf Scientists Program. Hosted by the URMC Wilmot Cancer Institute in partnership with the Rochester School for the Deaf, the celebration features science presentations by Rochester School for the Deaf (RSD) students, highlighting their research, creativity, and passion for STEM. Attendees will also enjoy a complimentary barbecue lunch provided by Dinosaur Bar-B-Que while connecting with members of the Deaf community, educators, scientists, and families. This free event promotes Deaf education, STEM learning, and community involvement in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
